The university has been meeting regularly with town and region officials about plans for the potential future campus, including the possibility for infrastructure to be shared between the school and the municipality. There have been talks that the campus could focus on applied sciences. Blouw has had discussions with Sheridan College about possible joint programming. Milton Canadian Champion

laurier coming to town

I would love to see laurier coming to milton. We need a university in milton; not a college. we already have one in Oakville, no need to have another one in Milton but a university will boost up the economic class and social class in milton which is really really great. I hope they will be built by 2013 becaue my daughter will be going to university in 2013. If she can go to laurier, we can save soooo much money and she doesnt'mind to stay home.

In my opinion, this venue

In my opinion, this venue should not be looked upon as a "class" enhancing issue but as an opportunity for young people to have choices for a higher education within the limits of their hometown if that is what they choose. This is an issue of education and community intergration. We know that not everyone can afford to go to university, so why try an make it an upper class "exclusive club" type undertaking.

Milton

With the secondary school E.C. Drury getting a new building in the years to come, once vacant, is that site a possibility?
