Strategic Alliance expands Academica’s offerings in Web and IT services
At the Canadian PSE Web Conference at Brock University today, Academica Group announced a strategic partnership agreement with RLComputing to expand their service offerings in web and IT support for university and college clients throughout Canada and the United States.
Ontario-based Academica Group brings 15 years of sector-specific experience in developing open-source web solutions, ranging from program-specific recruitment microsites for small colleges, to comprehensive web builds for large, research-intensive institutions. New York State-based RLComputing adds authorized expertise providing Microsoft-focused solutions for SharePoint, ASP and .NET to their service offerings.
“We will now be able to offer a more extensive suite of services, especially when it comes to Microsoft SharePoint portal evaluation, consulting and development. This makes our web development team’s knowledge-base much stronger, by adding Microsoft expertise to the mix,” said Philip Bliss, Academica’s Chief Innovation Officer.
Renee Cerullo, president of RLComputing, adds, “I first saw Academica’s distinctive web development methods and their Drupal-based open-source CMS solution when I was working on an evaluation assignment in Canada. I was really impressed, and eager to partner with Academica on web and IT projects in the higher education sector. They really understand the sector, and work from a research-driven approach to web development – along with a tremendous understanding of the Drupal platform.”
